Should be able to pick up the FXT this week (12-15 to 12-20). 1000ish mile break in before it gets the full tune. Decided to not go the rotated route with a larger turbo, because of lack of funds and unanticipated costs. Being unemployed doesn't help either.
Updated the current build list as well. The Mishimoto radiator didn't fit. It was too thick. Ended up going with a Koyo race radiator.
This motor is supposed to be good up to 1000hp, with little more than a larger turbo. Next mod I think will be a ride-height adjustable suspension, then the rotated kit/turbo and maybe the full aero kit to compliment the front sport bumper cover.
It's been 79 days without the FXT. I'm ready to get it back.

It's been a very bumpy road in the last month. The motor was built, installed and broken in. While getting it's latest tune Lance discovered that there was a serious fuel starvation issue at high rpm, which was almost certainly the cause of the cylinder wall failure (fuel starvation/loss at high psi + OEM head bolts).
The existing 460 fuel pump was fitted in the tank and it's size was a problem. The 460 fuel sock wouldn't fit because of the sizing, so a different one was added. Not sure if the fuel pump shifted in the tank or if it was installed at a bad angle, but when COBB looked at it, the sock and pump were at a 90 degree angle to each other. Some of the material on the pump deteriorated and was coming off in the tank as well. The 460 was also damaged by the excess heat and wear that was being caused by the continuous 100% voltage being sent to it (which was done to resolve the issue the OEM fuel controller has with large fuel pumps).
To circumvent this problem, a Radium multi-pump fuel surge tank is going to be installed. Equipped with two Walboro 460LPH pumps (the 2nd pump will be activated when it is needed). It'll all be custom fabricated, and located in the rear interior of the FXT. A DW255 will be located in the tank and will feed the fuel surge tank. I'm not exactly sure how the single 255 will be able to keep up with the 2 460's, but I've been assured that it works.
After this is installed, the only think needed to make up to 1000whp is a larger rotated turbo and injectors, thought I have no intention to do that. Maybe a rotated setup with larger turbo & 2000cc injectors in the summer, but not going past 650whp.
I should have the final product by the end of next week, meaning that, other than the one week of slow-poking it around the state for 1000 miles, I'll have had the FXT down for a little more than 4 months.
Looks like a fun little sleeper!
