So a little update,
Spoke to Dom at MPS, the new pistons have finally arrived!
Sadly the +2mm rods had a quality control issue and they have been sent back to the manufacturer. Dom basically said they won't accept anything less than perfection which I am glad to hear.
This will delay things by a few more weeks but it is allowing me to get caught up on some other stuff. For example I decided to remove my BC coilovers yesterday and give them a good cleaning, the threads were full of little stones and grime which made them impossible to adjust. This took a few hours but was worth it in the end, the locking collars move with ease again plus they are back to shiny! Lol.
I believe its a ceramic coating, Dom will have chime in for specifics

Well just a quick update!
As the rods have been delayed I have been up to a few other things, mainly gathering parts to be honest. I've put an order in with Subaru for all new bolts / hoses / lines etc required for my new stage 3 heads and to replace a few worn items from my old engine.
I'm also on the fence about 2 more items:
Brakes: As I need to replace pads / rotors all round, do I just bite the bullet now and do the brembo / bbk upgrade or just get min parts I need.
Fuel rails / lines: Should I stick with the stockers or upgrade, if so who makes a good kit? I have heard that some leak?
I have also been dealing with Pete from BC Racing on getting a set of coilovers made for my brothers car. It's a 2009 Focus SES coupe. We have been going back and forth for the last month or so with measurements etc and with a little machine work we got there.
So now he is driving the one and only 09 coupe on BC coils! Kinda fun to have something unique.
Also as we had gone through a lot of measurement work Pete offered me the chance to pick up some more BC products at a discount so I sold my old BR coils to a friend and upgrading to a new setup with the RAM inverted units.

The block will have ARP headstuds
Good to know about the brakes, perhaps il just keep my eye out for a set of brembos. There are other things to spend money on right now lol.
Saying that I did just purchase an ACT streetlite flywheel that il be sending to MPS to get balanced with the rest of the rotating assembly.
