well i have emailed ASF so we will wait to hear back. Elements reputation is hard to beat though. Guess we will see when it comes to price too. Some of the headwork on ASF's site is very impressive.
I wish there was an exact science to diagnosing the cause of rod knock.

Well no response from ASF yet and I have emailed Phil again for more pricing but he has not got back to me in a few days, although he did warn me he was super busy so thats to be expected I guess.
I now have my old shortblock for sale, hoping someone with build experience can take it off my hands and repair it. I would hope it just needs bearings but I dont have the machine shop or knowledge to do it myself.
Should be removing the block next weekend to inspect the damage, Im wondering if something else could of gone wrong but lets face it I am just hoping. Car ran perfect at idle and with any gas its clack, clack clack
ugh..... Im now working 3 jobs to save up the cash for the element shortblock

Well england got dsestroyed in the rugby!
However we pulled the engine with no issues at all. It has now been stripped to a longblock and we will be removing the heads tomorrow.
The oil did have fine traces of glitter in it, so im guessing bearing failure. Just need to get evrything packed away and stored awaiting the new shortblock.
