In this video I make a template, cut out a new steel sheet metal backing plate and install tail lights from a Mazda 323? Familia on the Impreza. I do this because the shortened rear end of the car does not allow the original Subaru Wagon tail lights to fit properly.

In this video I make steel rocker panels for the Impreza using my new bead roller. Its my first attempt and the first one did not go right. But the second try turned out pretty good. I had never used a bead roller before this video.

Yes, the time has arrived to do the unthinkable. The short wide Impreza is getting a V8. But to make things more interesting it will still be All Wheel Drive and have a 6 speed manual. I use Benchmark Abrasives cutoff wheels, a Milwaukee angle grinder, an Eastwood 175 welder and Si Fang flap wheels.

Man this is a ton of work, lots of chances to show off your skills. I like how you go into each section of the bodywork. You’d think doing something like this would t be too hard but there’s a lot of decisions to make with each panel.
